[Portugal] Surfcamp - Drop In Lourinha/Peniche
If you are looking for an opportunity to learn surfing, you should visit the Drop In Portugal in Lourinha. While there are many surf camps available in Portugal, what sets Mac and Dani's Surf Camp apart is that you become part of the family during your stay. Whether you are a solo traveler, a couple, or a family, they offer a variety of services to ensure you have an amazing experience.
You can choose between four different housing options:
The Beach Lodge:
Located close to the South Beach of Areia Branca, the Lodge offers 2-bed or 4-bed rooms.
The Beach House:
Situated right next to the Lodge, this accommodation provides a hostel-style experience.
Beach Apartments:
These apartments are even closer to the South Beach of Areia Branca, making them perfect for families with or without kids. The main advantage is that you have your own apartment combined with the option to take surf courses. It's a great opportunity for families, as it’s close to the beach, making it easy for one partner to attend the surf course while the other takes care of the kids.
The Resort:
Located in Lourinha, about a 10-minute drive from the South Beach of Areia Branca, the Resort is ideal for skaters. It features a new skatepark (opened in 2024) in the garden and a new pool (also opened in 2024) for relaxation after your skate session. Although it’s not right next to the beach, the Resort offers various sports facilities, a new Aldi (opened in 2024) nearby, and the presence of Dani and Mac, which gives it a unique charm. While a rental car is convenient, it’s not essential. Transfers to the lessons are guaranteed, and they will offer you a lift to the beach and back whenever possible.
Surf Lessons:
The surf lessons are well-structured and taught by experienced instructors. Unlike some schools that just push students into the white water and suggest that’s how they learn to surf, here you will receive proper guidance. While it’s impossible to control the conditions, you can be assured they will always try to bring you into the water when the conditions are optimal for your learning.
